Middle of the Summer

July 13th, 2013 Suplex Philadelphia began. The last 3 weeks have flown by,  and the amount of support from the neighborhood, customers, and consignors have been overwhelming. Much respect to those here before us, shops like Abakus and RIF LA who set the foundation for good business within our niche culture.  Thank you for paving the way, we strive to reach the same standards. And thank you to one of the dopest shops in Philadelphia, P's and Q's for the welcome gift. Follow @psandqsshop on IG and visit them up the block at 820 South Street for premium quality apparel.

Our website launched a week after we opened and hit the ground running with sales immediately to Hawaii, California, Missouri, Ohio and New York. We're humbled to experience that kind of support this quick, especially from the West Coast. After a short wait, we are now able to accept all major credit cards and Paypal. Be sure to check the site daily for new products, photography and blog posts.

Much respect and thanks to G-Roc, the founder of Theshoegame.com for his recent support. Recently G-Roc flew from Atlanta to Philly to check out Suplex and meet up with longtime TSG members that traveled from the likes of Baltimore, Virginia Beach and Jersey for an East Coast TSG reunion.  The Suplex team welcomed our out of town guests with sneakers and cheesesteaks, and ultimately left in search for the infamous "Portal". The legend of the "Portal" originates from theTSG sneaker community.  Members would discuss the endless amount of vintage varieties hidden in the depths of Philly and that it was like "stepping into a portal of mythical, vintage heat."  Check out our footage from the day entitled "Sneaker hunting ain't dead" on vimeo and youtube for a full recap.  From left to right: @viktorvash, @rally_cars, @reefdalegend, @theshoegame, @feetheat, and the sasquatch himself, @harry_henderson

Huge shout out to our good friend @khallivegas for his massive picture feature on sneakernews.com this week. Frank is a college professor from Atlanta, Georgia that admits he is not a kick professor, but a professor that loves kicks and boasts one of the worlds best vintage sneaker collections. We'd like to thank Khalli again for choosing to wear our Suplex tee for his feature photo and encourage everyone to follow @khallivegas on Instagram to get a proper education on real sneakers.

Thanks again to anyone who in anyway has supported Suplex, we are very grateful. Remember to check out the website daily, follow us on Instagram and Facebook @suplexphiladelphia and stop by our shop on South Street.
